art splashes, feelings spilling…

Lerer’s style is expressive and abstract. She uses mixed media such as wood, acrylic, spray paint, watercolor, ink, and any element she finds suiting for her emotions. There isn’t a specific structure to her work. She lets the raw emotions lead. When she paints, she’s living in the moment, or sometimes reliving a memory.

Lerer was born in Taipei, Taiwan. At a young age, she was drawn to nature, visuals, sounds, and elements in all shapes and forms. At age 14, she decided to follow her dreams and moved to the US. On her own she has lived in different cities in Chicago and Dallas. Los Angeles is now home. When she got accepted into Parsons The New School in New York, instead she took a chance in the beauty industry. For 12+ years she has built a successful hair career for herself. While doing hair has been an amazing journey, all the experiences give her more desire in pursuing art. Painting has been something that feeds her soul.
